Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Warsaw for a Software Engineer (C++/Python/Qt). The Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for cross-platform applications, primarily involving programming in C++, Python, and Qt. Daily responsibilities include creating and optimizing software algorithms, integrating with measurement devices higher level systems, troubleshooting software issues, and ensuring high-quality, efficient, and reliable software systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders will also be a crucial component of this role.

Qualifications

  • Openness to new technologies and a user-centric approach
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing stand-alone applications for various operating systems
  • Very good knowledge of C++ or Python, as well as the Qt / PySide6 framework
  • Ability to design user interfaces with strong attention to UX principles
  • Experience in integrating devices with applications (connectivity, hardware communication)
  • Ability to connect and work with relational databases
  • Basic knowledge of security and cryptography concepts

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of embedded systems and embedded technologies
  • Knowledge of length and angle metrology and related measurement principles
  • Experience with web technologies (e.g., REST API, Electron, WebSocket, HTML5, gRPC, JavaScript)
  • Interest in new technologies and openness to experimentation
  • Experience in developing applications for industrial or laboratory devices
  • Familiarity with databases (Time-Series Databases, NoSQL, and others)
  • Knowledge of IoT and Industry 4.0 technologies (MQTT, OPC UA)
