We are looking for an experienced person for the position of Automation Test Engineer (f/m/x) to join a project related to the integration of the KNX protocol with a new device platform and the development of a test automation environment supporting various communication protocols. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and validation of the test environment, as well as creating and maintaining test automation. Your tasks will also include integrating KNX devices and preparing and developing laboratory test infrastructure. If you are interested in modern solutions in the field of building automation and want to develop advanced automated tests, this offer is for you. Your tasks
• Building and developing a test environment for devices and KNX communication
• Creating and maintaining automated tests based on Robot Framework and Python
• Extending the existing test framework with a KNX adapter and new libraries and integrations
• Designing end-to-end test scenarios and defining test strategies for KNX functionalities
• Verifying the correctness of communication, datapoint mapping, KNX telegrams, and device interoperability
• Analyzing integration issues, diagnosing communication errors, and collaborating with Embedded, Product Verification, and firmware teams Requirements
• At least 4 years of experience in automated testing and system testing
• Strong knowledge of Python and Robot Framework confirmed by practical experience
• Experience in designing test automation frameworks and integrations from scratch
• Practical knowledge of the KNX protocol and working with devices using this standard
• Experience in hardware testing, log analysis, and troubleshooting integrated systems
• Very good command of English
