Responsibilities
• Serve as the main point of contact for statutory accounting topics within the finance organization for designated entities.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and manage deviations from IFRS.
• Oversee the preparation and documentation of statutory financial filings.
• Review and ensure the quality of statutory balance sheets and income statements.
• Support compliance with statutory requirements and manage risks associated with statutory deviations.
• Monitor and implement changes in statutory compliance in collaboration with Accounting Controllers.
• Coordinate statutory audits by providing required documentation and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Accounting Controllers and Statutory Chief Accountants to support audit processes and manage interactions with local authorities and auditors.
• Participate in the harmonization of statutory processes across entities.
• Initiate and implement cross-departmental improvements, interacting with other finance operations processes.
• Share updates on statutory compliance status and proactively support the management of statutory risks
Job Requirements
• Experienced accounting professional with over 5 years in accounting and financial reporting, demonstrating the ability to analyze complex processes and issues.
• Master's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or similar certification preferred where required.
• Proficient in statutory accounting, audits, and filings.
• Deep knowledge of financial accounting, including IFRS, accounting processes, and tax regulations.
• Hands-on and proactive approach; able to thrive in a fast-paced matrix organization, multitasking effectively and engaging with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Clear and effective communicator, capable of engaging proactively with finance and business leadership.
• Strong analytical skills and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in financial and statutory reporting processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, HFM, and Merlin, or a willingness to learn.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
