Senior Statutory Accountant with English or German

We are looking for a Statutory Accountant with a high responsibility (suitable profiles: chief accountants, controlling specialists or at least senior consultants from Big4, audit company). This person will be part of the Regional Controlling organization and will be critical to ensuring compliance with US GAAP, statutory, and tax requirements in the countries in scope.

  • Assist the finance team in preparing financial statements and reports for entities by executing US GAAP, tax, and statutory accounting, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Make sure that the company's policies and procedures, as well as internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations, are being followed; provide assistance in enhancing financial processes and controls to ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with other finance and non-finance teams, as well as external providers, in execution of end-to-end finance processes.
  • Participate in resolution of complex accounting and tax issues.
  • Participate in local, regional, and global projects, as required.
  • Be an advocate of finance function.
  • Maintain focus on continuous process improvement.
Position with English or German |Global team in stable global medical organisation (over 100 years on the market)
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English (C1 level).
  • Knowledge of the German language (nice to have for a possible additional position on this region).
  • Practical knowledge of preparation of financial statements, tax reporting.
  • Experience in working in one of the Big4 companies (nice to have).
  • Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit.
  • Strong knowledge of US and local GAAPs and tax matters
  • Excellent communication skills, diplomatic, flexible and "can do" mind-set.
  • Strong reporting tools including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (nice to have).
