Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for statutory accounting topics across designated entities, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Monitor and ensure the quality of statutory balance sheets and income statements, collaborating with Business Navigators, FP&A, and Controllers at various levels.
• Prepare and maintain statutory financial filings, ensuring all statutory adjustments are properly documented and any deviations from IFRS are managed.
• Manage and support the statutory audit process, coordinating with local Accounting Controllers and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audit filings.
• Drive statutory process harmonization and cross-departmental improvements, working closely with the Head of Statutory CoE for Europe to implement best practices globally.
• Proactively manage statutory compliance risks, stay informed of country-specific statutory changes, and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
Job Requirements
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with the ability to analyze complex processes and issues.
• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting. If applicable, a registered Accountant with a valid CPA or equivalent certification.
• Extensive experience with statutory accounting, audits, and filings across multiple countries.
• In-depth understanding of financial accounting processes, IFRS, webFEM, and tax regulations.
• Hands-on and proactive approach, capable of working effectively in a fast-paced matrix organization, multitasking, and engaging with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Clear and effective communicator with the ability to engage proactively with finance and business leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex processes and issues under tight deadlines, offering practical solutions and strategic recommendations for statutory accounting and related processes.
• Experience with ERP systems, HFM, and Merlin, or a willingness to learn these tools.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
