Quality & Food Safety Assurance Senior Specialist (f/m/x)

Location: manufacturing plant in Poznan

To be the primary R&D partner (‘the face of R&D’) for big and complex Value Stream, driving the quality agenda and leading implementation and governance of all Q&FS requirements, including first line incident escalation.

What would be your key responsibilities?

Leadership:

  • Drive Q&FS FAB and strategy in the Value Stream (coordination, management).
  • Challenge the status quo: drive any required quality improvement in the value stream.
  • R&D lead in value stream FMOS meetings and quality reviews.
  • Drive Quality Leadership in the Value Stream by coaching team leaders in quality topics and communication on quality topics to the shop floor Associates.

QMP & Food Safety:

  • Facilitate QMP in the Value Stream (CAPAs, internal audits, continuous improvement, document creation & control).
  • Support the implementation of global Mars Standards into the value stream & enable full compliance.
  • Ensure shop floor associates are committed to all Mars Standards at value stream level.
  • Internal auditor of Q&FS management system on site.
  • Manage the food safety programme within the value stream including maintaining compliance with any required external standards (e.g. FSSC 22000, GFSI).
  • Govern the GMP/GHP and CCP/OPRP programmes within the value stream.

Q&FS Incidents & Product Quality:

  • First line Q&FS incident management and incident coordinator including handling escalations to experts.
  • Leads post incident review for SI and CI incidents and share incidents learnings within Value Stream.
  • Supports root cause analysis and CAPA of near misses and other incidents.
  • Accountable for managing effective corrective/preventive plan incl. verification of effective implementation of actions.
  • Track, report & communicate on incidents and near misses’ closure of the value stream.
  • Backup for Q&FS incidents management in another Value Stream.
  • Accountable for investigation of consumer & customer complaints within value stream.
  • Manages the effective corrective/preventive action plan regarding consumer & customer complaints within value stream.
  • Track, report & communicate on consumer complaints of the value stream.
  • Provides input into VPQ criteria related to new products implemented in the Value Stream.

Change Management & Trouble Shooting:

  • Inputs line trials risk assessment endorse line trial / raw material exception test forms prior to approval by Q&FS Manager.
  • Conducts level 2 troubleshooting & escalate to PPTS for level 3.
  • Support of small change management process.
  • Reduce incidents related to change management through building capability with operations and reliability on risk assessment.

What are we looking for?

  • An experience of at least 5-years in Food /Pharma industry in quality assurance area is necessary.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in microbiology / food technology / other relevant technical discipline.
  • Strong experience of quality and food safety in a food manufacturing facility, where scientific principles have been practically applied.
  • Technical depth and detailed knowledge of Quality Management, Food Microbiology, Food Safety and Hygiene.
  • Proactive mindset, a sense of ownership and previous experience leading change and continuous improvement projects.
  • Experience in leading big projects in a quality area would be a great benefit.
  • Proven track record in process risk analysis.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Polish is obligatory.
