The Royal Canin E-Commerce Development Project Lead serves as the main point of contact responsible for our Allegro/other Marketplaces business & as a driver of strategy, an executor of the sales plan and Allegro operational processes, while providing leadership in the ongoing delivery of key messages. This position will be responsible for achieving key performance indicators for Allegro/other Marketplace platforms, both internally and externally, such as financial and P&L management, managing full commercial terms negotiations with management participation and supervision, short-term sales forecasting, long-term sales/demand planning, promotional development/contribution and post-mortem evaluation, as well as direct input into the development of future strategy and initiatives with the client.

Additionally the role might be responsible for other strategic and/ or white space projects in eCommerce.

This position is a key member of the eCommerce team, responsible for strategy for eCommerce and SPT/OMNI.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Operational Control & Revenue Growth
    • Ownership of executing the sales plan for Royal Canin on Allegro/Marketplaces
    • Responsible for forecasting building blocks, risk and opportunity and key messaging alignment with eCommerce Head
    • Management of full annual trade terms negotiation, and continual day to day operational negotiation with input from agency resources, eComm team, & eComm Head input & oversight
    • Collaborates closely with E-Key Account Managers, Supply, Sales Planning, and Finance to forecast, track, provide weekly sales updates, and execute against the annual plan
    • Manages the P&L and quarterly review to make help make informed decisions when needed on budget increase/decrease and appropriate allocations/use
    • Provides input into the monthly DMR forecasting cycle, and escalates risk & opportunity as needed through the SPT/OMNI eCommerce Head
  • Functional + Capabilities
    • Support delivery of annual business targets – NSV, Earnings, Cash & Share
    • Responsible for leading test and learns on Allegro/Marketplaces as well as implementation of strategic decisions behind new and new advertising mechanisms,
    • Owns agency operational team relationships & directives and manages relevant PO flow through
  • Organization
    • Provide high level direction eg. pricing, financial coding, various account sales led initiatives, new/return item launch timelines, content directives, etc
    • Present compelling sales selling stores and solutions to internal and external to build support and consensus as drive the securement of incremental investment in the online space
    • Share best practices
    • Actively contribute to the eCommerce team to influence and inform strategy

What are we looking for?

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in online marketplace management, gained ideally in FMCG company and well-known brands
  • Previous account management / sales experience or experience as cross collaborator into the Sales Teams (i.e. Marketing, Supply, Category) is crucial for this role
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Marketing / Business or related field
  • Well-developed relationship management skills with particular focus on e-commerce vendor management
  • Proven track record in increasing sales on online marketplaces, with strong focus on Allegro
  • Practical knowledge of marketplace management tools (Google Analytics/Ads, Allegro/Amazon Ads, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills combined with problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Fluent command of Polish and very good English knowledge
