Our client, an emerging Shared Services Center based in Warsaw, is currently seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to become an integral part of their newly formed structure. Proficiency in the German language is a crucial requirement for this role.

Our Client is an international company, building an SSC structure in Warsaw, Poland. They are famous for their sustainable approach to business.

Description

  • Ensure financial reporting accuracy and compliance with Local GAAP, IFRS, and company's Guidelines, including timely tax and social contributions.
  • Lead internal audits, address control weaknesses, and manage semi-annual and annual external audits, ensuring preparedness and stakeholder communication.
  • Prepare local GAAP financial statements and ensure regulatory filings are timely.
  • Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, providing necessary audit documentation.
  • Act as the main liaison for finance/IT initiatives with Group Accounting and finance stakeholders.
  • Resolve Accounting GL discrepancies, ensuring alignment with financial reporting guidelines.
  • Manage Local GAAP and IFRS reconciliations and support accounting staff with non-routine issues.
  • Advise Sales and Service teams on accounting matters like order intake and revenue recognition.
  • Conduct analytical reviews and ensure internal controls and SOX compliance are maintained.
  • Be the compliance contact for company's teams, serving as an accounting expert and offering team training.


Staff Management:

  • Lead and motivate staff to minimize turnover, including succession planning, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Work with the SSC management team to maintain team stability and manage transitions effectively, ensuring cultural awareness and continuous improvement.

Profile

Qualification:

  • University degree in Economics/Finance or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Formal accountancy qualification, such as ACCA.
  • Lean/Six Sigma qualification is highly desirable.

Language Skills:

  • Proficiency in English and German (C1 level) for both verbal and written communication.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with SAP/Oracle or other major ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
