Change and Process Specialist in the Data Capture & Controls Team

About this opportunity
 

Welcome to Data Capture & Controls team. We are a team of experienced specialists with a passion for problem solving and a drive to provide the best quality of data to our stakeholders. We play a central role in the sourcing of financial data from a wide range of banking sub systems, offering the opportunity to work in a complex environment in the core of the bank’s financial data flow, accounting processes and controls.   


As a part of Data Production & Assurance Unit, our goal is to ensure timely and efficient deliveries of complete and high quality data ready for reporting teams and other data consumers. We would like to enrich our team with a new member, having the desire to grow and develop in technical aspects of data analysis. This position will offer a great opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders from different areas of the bank.  
 

The role is based in Łódź.
 

What are we doing in the team

We are currently supporting over 15 entities within the Nordea Group by managing the sourcing of financial data to our accounting engine, common data warehouse and general ledger. We perform a wide range of technical validations, reconciliations and financial analysis, done with various applications and tools. We distribute the results of the above controls to our different stakeholders and provide support in further error analysis and corrections. By doing so, we play a key part in supporting the month-end closing process in Group Finance. Further, we are also extensively involved in various Nordea’s projects as Subject Matter Experts, evaluating and testing new solutions before implementation.

Your experience and background: 

  • Experience working in a financial institution would be an advantage
  • You have experience working in an international team spread across multiple countries
  • You have experience working with large data sets and have ability to connect the dots
  • You are a change ambassador and have experience in delivering improvements as part of a team
  • You have advanced working skills in Excel/Power Bi 
  • Working experience in Python or SQL would be an advantage  
  • Working experience in driving and coordinating processes would be an advantage
