Job Summary
The Financial Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for the production, control and delivery of the Group’s key prudential supervisory reporting and disclosure for Capital, Liquidity, Large Exposures and Leverage, including: COREP (Own Funds, LCR, LE, NSFR, Leverage), Pillar 3 and PRA 110. The team also plays a key support and liaison role for country regulatory teams, global functions (such as Risk, Compliance and Treasury), Investor Relations and is a key contact for the Bank of England and other regulators and acts as a centre of subject matter expertise in solvency and liquidity regulations for the business, change functions and Financial Planning and Analytics, advising senior management and supporting external stakeholders.
This role of Analyst – Financial Regulatory Reporting, Poland reports to the Head of Financial Regulatory Reporting, Poland, and is part of GCRR team in Poland which acts as an extension Group function in London, supporting all the London teams in delivery of functional objectives. This will include working closely with the offshore team in India and all GCRR stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on the reconciliation process (between financial books and capital regulatory metrics) designed in Python.
- Support Capital BAU activities covering Credit Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk and GSIBs including regulatory returns, associated disclosures, and MI (comparative analysis) and any other activities in-scope of the capital reporting team.
- Support with implementation and testing of any changes to existing processes or implementation of new requirements (like Basel 3.1 implementation).
- Timely submission of GCRR processes covering COREP Own Funds, GSIBs, Pillar 3, Leverage, Large exposures, and other associated reporting and disclosures.
- Identify key issues based upon financial information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.
- Development and maintenance of controls & control environment, and maintaining a list of issues to contribute to the Capital Data Quality Forum.
- Generate regulatory capital metrics and data science skill sets to improve data management and analysis and use of data science to optimise any redundant processes.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on Capital Regulatory Reporting, particularly Exposures and RWA calculations.
- Experience with other capital regulatory returns (incl. GSIBs, Large Exposures, Leverage) will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of Python programming required (Pandas and NumPy packages).
- Data visualisation experience with Power BI or any other tools would be an added advantage.
- Regulatory reporting experience in major banks, and SQL coding would be an added advantage.
- Proficient skills in Excel and other office applications required.
- Team player and the ability to work autonomously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
