The HEINEKEN E-Business team is where product teams, Global Sales, Digital & Technology, as well as our Operating Companies work together in an agile way, break through classical silos, and adopt new ways of working.
As the Engineering Manager, your role plays a crucial leadership role within the integration team, managing development and Scrum teams to deliver high-quality integration solutions. This role involves close collaboration with Integration Architects and Business Integration Analysts to ensure that projects align with both technical standards and business objectives. The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire development lifecycle of integration projects, from demand gathering and prioritization to design and implementation.
The role sits within D&T Commerce and will report directly to the Chapter Lead Integration.
Your responsibilities would include:
- evaluating and prioritizing integration demands in collaboration with business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and resource availability through Design Integration Board
- leading and managing 2-3 Scrum teams, overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of integration projects within agreed timelines
- working closely with Integration Architects to ensure that all integration solutions adhere to established principles and governance frameworks
- governing the decision-making process for the design and implementation of these solutions
- acting as the main point of contact between the integration team and business units, facilitating clear and effective communication regarding project statuses, priorities, and outcomes
- coordinating software development and addressing technical debt
- ensuring that integration projects meet high standards of quality, including performance, scalability, and security
- implementing best practices and methodologies to achieve these objectives
- working closely with chapter lead in the transition process to ensure smooth realignment of integration resources from Digital Integration team to Commerce Integration team
- managing team capacity, including outsourcing partners.
You are a good candidate if you have:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- at least 7-10 years of experience in IT, with a focus on implementing integration solutions involving middleware and API management
- high level of adaptability and flexibility in face of changing business priorities and technology landscapes.
- ability to lead teams through transition periods effectively
- strong understanding of the technologies and challenges specific to commerce integration, including e-commerce platforms, payment processing, customer data management, and online marketplace integration
- strong experience in delivering integrations with the platforms: Azure API management, Solace, Boomi, Mulesoft, SAP CPI
- ability to guide the integration strategy to support commerce objectives, identifying opportunities for reusability of planned integrations across multiple markets, and planning activities with foreseeing delivery timelines for different product teams
- proven track record of successfully leading development teams, ideally within agile or Scrum framework
- experience in managing multiple teams or projects simultaneously.
