Société Générale Global Solution Center Poland is a new, growing area of the SG Warsaw Branch.

GLBA platform is worldwide with expert teams across France and Europe, the CEEMEA region, the Americas and Asia, leveraging local client and regulatory insight within a global GLBA business framework to drive domestic, international, and cross-border business, recognizing the global nature of our clients. Due to GLBA business specifics, the activity involves potential reputation risks to be analyzed very closely by the experts.

The GLBA mission statement is to set-up the GLBA framework to comply with regulations and Group's internal policies applicable to GLBA's activities and to support Front-Officers on all topics related to Compliance, Regulatory and Tax topics. GLBA is the point of contact of our Legal, Compliance and Tax teams to deal with project management, tools requirements definition, process update, communication, training/change management, procedures update, monitoring of indicators/incidents/remediation plan/recommendations and permanent supervision controls.

Mission:

Currently, we are seeking an individual to support the GLBA Normative and Regulatory projects team based in Paris (around 10 staff) dedicated to GLBA businesses.

The position has an international dimension: based in Warsaw, you will be working on a daily basis with your colleagues from GLBA team in Paris (in a duo mode) and you will have to liaise with all GLBA staff (on a worldwide basis).

A ramp up period is expected to develop the required expertise on the various regulations/topics the team deals with. This expertise will be an accelerator for the career development in a financial environment.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Reputation risk (at client or transaction level) committees' coordination with experts teams for the benefit of the chairs (Head of business and Head of Compliance) on an ad-hoc basis
  • Regular controls (monthly, quarterly or yearly) linked to various regulations (Volcker/FBL, Dodd-Frank Act, Anti-Bribery and Corruption) or transversal topics (Booking policy, Spot-check completion rate)
  • Recommendations monitoring (from Internal audit/inspection or external regulatory missions) for the benefit of the Head of GLBA on a monthly basis
  • Cross-border framework monitoring: regular review of Cross border constraints drafted by legal team before circulating them to GLBA COOs and publishing them in the Cross-border tool (in cooperation with Bangalore team) for the benefit of all GLBA staff worldwide.
  • ECB missions' preparation in cooperation with the dedicated coordination team in Paris
Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Higher education
  • 5 years of experience, having experience in banking or in a financial institution

Language skills:

  • Proficiency in English
  • French language would be a strong asset

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • MS Office literacy with particular emphasis on MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project management skills
  • High interpersonal and communication skills in an international environment
  • Curiosity/interest in regulatory topics will be a key differentiating factor
