Responsibilities

Société Générale Global Solution Center Poland is a new, growing area of the SG Warsaw Branch, and we are currently looking for a Trade Confirmation Officer.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Confirm the existence of the transaction and its economic characteristics with clients or partners
  • Identify Front Office transactions requiring the generation of a confirmation from the management system
  • Select the appropriate template to generate the confirmation
  • Negotiate with the counterparty to validate the use of an existing document template, either directly or through the legal
  • Where necessary, follow up with the counterparty to confirm the transaction in compliance with established follow-up and escalation procedures
  • Analyze the document received from the counterparty and check all economic and legal items
  • In the event of a discrepancy, undertake the necessary actions to resolve the discrepancy (such as MO and FO contacts, Legal, client)
  • Ensure that all requests received from counterparties are processed within the deadlines
  • Draft simple procedures (summary procedures)
  • Carry out periodic checks
Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • University degree with a specialization in Banking/Finance or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a related position
  • Experience with FX trade will be an asset

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English and French (C1/C2 - in spoken and written)

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Knowledge of capital market principles
  • Knowledge of the confirmation standard
  • Knowledge of SWIFT messages used for the confirmation purpose
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Problem-solving orientation
  • Good organization of work
  • Ability to work under stress and time pressure
