Job Description

The Senior Data Engineer plays a crucial role in developing data exchange interfaces for essential business applications in the global fuels logistic processes. This position requires technical expertise in ETL processes as well as strategic thinking in terms of architecture and project management.

This presents a great opportunity to enhance collaboration with Circle K Fuel Partners and Vendors by focusing on improving data efficiency and reliability through building and optimizing ETL workflows, integration solutions, and DevOps.

You will be part of an international team of industry experts who prioritize business focus, stability, innovation, and teamwork. Your extensive background in backend development, data engineering, DevOps practices, and API development will be instrumental in driving the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System architecture and design in batch and real-time modes utilizing cutting-edge data processing and streaming technologies
  • Innovate, design, and implement SQL and Python for ETL processes following best practices
  • Develop and maintain APIs to facilitate efficient data exchange and backend services
  • Enhance backend practices with an emphasis on Python programming and other batch languages
  • Manage cloud-based services and infrastructure with hands-on experience in AWS or Azure
  • Lead projects by gathering business requirements
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to achieve project objectives
  • Ensure the integrity, reliability, and scalability of the company's data and backend systems

We seek a candidate with:

  • 6+ years of experience in backend development, data engineering, and DevOps
  • Solid understanding of SQL, ETL processes, and data engineering best practices
  • Proficiency in Python, including API development and backend services
  • Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS or Azure
  • Expertise in developing real-time and batch mode solutions
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a global team setting
  • English proficiency equivalent to CEFR level B2
