The purpose of this role is to handle accurate and efficient general ledger accounting tasks within a specific region (EMEA), relating to the newly established SDC (SSC) structure.

The ideal candidate must be a senior finance expert with previous experience in GBS or shared services organizations, familiar with record to report (RtR/GL) processes encompassing journals, provisions, accruals, month-end activities, tax management, and financial statements.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper application of accounting standards & policies (IFRS/country-specific)
  • Accurate daily posting of Journal entries and manual Journals when needed
  • Manage accounting of leases and lease schedules
  • Perform control activities to ensure compliance with GN control framework and regulations
  • Collaborate with Group Tax and other stakeholders for tax calculations and reconciliations

Period-close Responsibilities:

  • Comply with closing checklist (monthly/quarterly/annually)
  • Coordinate with other Sub-ledger Owners for accurate recording of data
  • Review GL accounts, prepaid expense amortization, and currency valuations
  • Prepare financial statements, support Group Finance, and assist in management reporting
  • Identify and report risks, support audits, and contribute to process improvement initiatives

Our requirements:

  • Technical or Bachelor education background
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Prior experience in Multinational or GBS/SSC organizations
  • ERP system knowledge and understanding of Financial Accounting Standards
  • Respect for timelines, delivery focus, and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder management
