Who We Are

The Ocado Technology division is responsible for delivering Ocado's innovative robotics technology, the Ocado Smart Platform (OSP), to major retail clients worldwide. OSP includes access to Ocado's infrastructure solutions, efficient warehouse operations, software applications, and advanced robotics required for running an online grocery business.

Our cutting-edge technology is set to revolutionize the shopping experience globally. We have partnered with Auchan to enhance the grocery customer experience in Poland through the centralized online retail model provided by the Ocado Smart Platform.

What You Will Do

The Lead Engineering Operations Manager will oversee engineering operations at our client site in Warsaw. Responsibilities include building and training a team, establishing operational procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our technology.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure client support for running operations with OSP and maintaining a good business relationship.
  • Plan and coordinate Engineering Operations activities through managers to deliver excellent service to customers.
  • Maintain and enhance team performance and efficiency according to site KPIs.
  • Implement corrective actions and preventive measures as needed.
  • Lead site improvement initiatives.
  • Introduce innovative ideas for warehouse operations and business enhancement.
  • Maximize customer experience through high operational availability.
  • Enhance quality systems for continuous improvement.
  • Manage departmental budget and contribute to target achievement.
  • Ensure high site standards and compliance with safety, health, and quality requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Strong leadership and management skills with industry experience.
  • Deep knowledge of engineering systems and automation, preferably with an Engineering degree.
  • Proficient in project management.
  • Effective communication skills at all business levels and with suppliers.
  • Good administrative and organizational skills.
  • Skilled in Lean Principles and tools with experience in implementing working methods.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in English & Polish languages.
  • Familiarity with local H&S legislation.
