Job Description:

Role Overview:

As part of the Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance (PSRC) Leadership Team, Huntsman is looking for a Senior Manager RDM (Regulatory Data Management) who will be primar il y responsible for managing and advancing the functionality, development, and maintenance of all PSRC data systems, tools and databases ( including the SAP-EHS database , GAIA ) which are essential for the control of the product safety and regulatory compliance for Huntsman and the global product range.

Role Responsibilities :

As a Senior Manager RDM (Regulatory Data Management) you will cover the following areas , with minimum supervision and much decision-making :

  • Lead and inspire the Global Regulatory Data Management cross functional team, providing strategy, guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for associates across the EU, US, and APAC regions .
  • Be r esponsible for the change management process for assigned PSRC systems in consultation with IT, ensuring that the process supports the P roduct S afety system vision to maximize the use of standard functionality and content.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the three internal business divisions (Polyurethanes, Performance Products, Advanced Materials) , ensuring Product Safety data management initiatives align with their specific needs and objectives . Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand division-specific requirements and integrate Product Safety data management considerations into their product development and compliance strategies.
  • In collaboration with Global RDM team members, establish standards and guidelines for data entry procedures and training in support of established standards. Set-up training plan s and provide training to PSRC and Business globally.
  • Be r esponsible along with RDM team members for functional support of planned system upgrades and changes, including U ser A cceptance T esting (UAT) , by leveraging previous P roject Managemen t, Service Transition, Operation Management and Migration Management experienc e . Work with other PSRC team members for completing UAT and/or manage the testing program for specific projects as appropriate .
  • Be r esponsible along with other team members for managing the implementation of updates received from content provider (regulatory data, templates, and rules).
  • Be r esponsible for ongoing auditing and validation that data standards are followed. Make sure that p roject work assigned from the GAIA Operational Excellence Board is completed on a timely basis.
  • Support users through training and communication, including new or changed system functionality . Implement new change requests procedures; identify gaps in business processes and set-up improved processes within Product Safety department and Customer Service.
  • Ensure systems can support all legal requirements to generate compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) , Labels, Regulatory Data Sheets and to perform automatic Global Regulatory Checks and Substance Volume Tracking (incl uding REACH for all required countrie s).
  • Execute standard reports as developed by the RDM Team Advisor and other Team Members and train PSRC associates on their use to facilitate independence .
  • Manage Business Process Owners for several systems/ tools.
  • Manage RDMT responsible for managing Report Requests an d transactions in GAIA.
  • Manage RDM Team members for Vendor SDS application , work with Raw Material Team to solve issues and work with EHS management globally.
  • Partner with the internal and external stakeholders in the Huntsman IT group to ensure solutions are effectively running.

  • Degree in Science / Engineering / IT o r similar preferred .
  • Minimum 20 years of professional experience in the PSRC domain (SAP EHS, IT, Regulatory Compliance, General Product Stewardship Support, Hazard Communication, Toxicology, Risk Assessment) .
  • Alternatively, an A dvanced Technical Degree with 10-12 years of relevant professional experience is also an option .
  • SAP EHS knowledge required , and p roficiency in the use of other EHS systems or databases is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of system development and deployment .
  • Knowledge of programming languages (such as SAP ABAP & Oracle PL/SQL) is a plus .
  • Excellent IT skills .
  • Good communication skills .
  • Fluency in English essential .
