The GPC Global Technology Center team is involved in various projects related to e-commerce, data platforms, supply chain solutions, selling systems, and cyber security.

This team comprises skilled IT engineers focused on innovation and providing advanced solutions for GPC.

As our company continues to grow, safeguarding our data assets against internal and external threats has become crucial.

We are currently looking for a Data Protection Engineer to join our IT security team and lead our data protection, insider threat management, and data classification efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Data Protection: Create, deploy, and manage data protection solutions to secure sensitive company data.
  • Implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools to monitor and control data flow across the network.
  • Collaborate with various teams to establish a robust data protection framework and strategy.
  • Insider Threat Management: Deploy and maintain tools to identify and respond to suspicious activities.
  • Regularly analyze system and access logs to detect potential insider threats.
  • Work with HR and legal departments to develop protocols for managing insider threats.
  • Data Discovery & Classification: Oversee the implementation of data discovery tools for structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Collaborate with business units to classify data accurately based on sensitivity.
  • Define and maintain consistent data classification policies and procedures.
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM): Lead MDM implementation to enhance mobile device data security.
  • Establish and enforce device usage policies and security controls.
  • Regularly assess mobile device risks and improve MDM strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data protection.
  • Regularly update data protection policies and technologies to address emerging threats.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand data needs.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements-expected:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications like CISSP, CISM, CDPSE are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data protection and security.
  • Expertise in insider threat management and data classification.
  • Experience with MDM solutions and strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problems-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with tools such as MS Purview, Code42, One Trust, and Varonis is advantageous.
