As a Request Manager within our Client Services, you will have an important role in ensuring that incoming onboarding and other requests are comprehensive and well-defined. You will be part of a multinational team spread across Europe and Asia, committed to facilitate seamless communication between requestors, architects, engineering teams, and the Platform Core team.
Our primary focus is on delivering efficient and transparent service, ensuring that tasks are not overlooked and that regular status updates are provided to all relevant parties. In this role, you will enhance the organization and structure of interactions, particularly with the architecture group.
Essential responsibilities as a Request Manager:
In this role, you will be at the forefront of administering and refining requests, shaping processes that are critical to our service delivery's integrity and efficiency. Here is how you'll make a difference:
- Request Oversight: Oversee incoming requests, ensuring they are complete and well-defined, and facilitate the refinement of these requests.
- Proactive Communication: Act as a proactive point of contact for status updates and communication on requests, enhancing transparency between all stakeholders.
- Task Management: Ensure tasks are not overlooked, are prioritized appropriately, and provide regular updates on the status of requests to all relevant parties.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with PMOs, architects, engineering teams, and the Platform Core team to ensure clarity and comprehensiveness in request handling.
- Balancing Standard and Custom Solutions: Navigate the balance between standardizing deployments and accommodating bespoke solutions by handling requests from SRE teams and coordinating custom solutions agreed upon by architects and POs.
- Continuous Improvement: Support the organization and structure of interactions with the architecture group, driving continuous enhancements in our communication and task management processes.
Your role will be crucial in ensuring that SimCorp remains an efficient, transparent leader in financial services, directly contributing to our strategic goals and long-term positive outcome.
Who you are:
To ensure positive results in this role, possessing at least one of the following skills will be highly beneficial:
- Proven Experience: Experience in a similar role within a DevOps or engineering environment.
- Communication and Organizational Skills: Good communication and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Task Management Tools: Experience with task management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Teams, or similar.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder management.
- Kanban Methodology: Familiarity with Kanban and agile methodology is beneficial.
- Lean Principles: Knowledge of Lean principles and practices to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement within the team.
