About the project, We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for Balyasny Asset Management (B.A.M.) who is a global institutional investment firm that is opening its first office in Poland, precisely in Warsaw., , Operating at the intersection of finance and technology, they combine deep industry knowledge with software engineering and quantitative research to seek out new investment opportunities, analyze market conditions, minimize risk and provide superior service to investment partners., , With 1700+ employees globally, Balyasny Asset Management embrace a culture that promotes the free flow of ideas, career development and supports the health and wellbeing of their people through world-class benefits., , A Senior Infrastructure Engineer will manage and monitor all aspects of the firm's technology infrastructure and work with internal business and technology teams to address infrastructure related requests and troubleshoot complex issues.

Your responsibilities, Provide technical leadership and mentorship for a small team of Infrastructure Engineers, Day-to-day management the firm's global on-premise and cloud compute, storage, and network environments, Infrastructure monitoring, Deploy infrastructure services across the firm, Perform infrastructure related maintenance activities, Develop self-service capabilities for infrastructure services, Automate BAU and operational activities, Develop and maintain runbooks for support teams
BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field/technical experience, 8+ years hands-on experience managing and maintaining technology infrastructure, Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows administration, Strong knowledge of server virtualization products, such as VMware and AHV, Strong knowledge of network switch and firewall administration, Strong knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS, Strong PowerShell and/or Python scripting experience, Knowledge of enterprise storage systems, such as NetApp and Pure Storage, Knowledge of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop, Knowledge of SAML / IDP/ ADFS, Experience with IaC tools, such as Terraform and Cloud Formation, Detailed documentation skills – ability to represent ideas, requirements, reference architecture and problems in clear, concise, and business-friendly documents
Optional, Linux, Windows, and networking certifications, Experience with CI/CD platforms and SDLC processes, Any AWS, Azure, or GCP resource specializations or certifications, Any Kubernetes resource specializations or certifications
