Position Purpose: A professional individual with experience in the Transaction Reporting space who wants to apply their financial markets knowledge and further develop their understanding in the fast-growing sector of Regulatory Reform. With the continued high rate of change in the Regulatory reporting space, Regulatory Operations professionals have a mandate and platform to significantly impact their environment and the wider business.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include:

  • Responsible for daily regulatory reporting tasks, including upload, exception remediation, and confirmation processes for MiFIR and EMIR regime, covering UK and Europe
  • Liaise with ARM (Approved Reporting Mechanism) and Trade Repository
  • Produce Management Information (MI), focusing on analysis to identify regulatory reporting trends
  • Implement new regulatory reporting processes to comply with FCA or other regulatory body guidelines
  • Launch new internal initiatives for regulatory reporting
  • Regularly monitor and review validation of internal data files sent to ARM/Trade Repositories
  • Regularly monitor and review validation of submissions delegated to Prime Brokers sent to various Trade Repositories
  • Conduct quality assurance and UAT for regulatory changes, new processes, and/or programs, and maintain documentation of the testing cycle
  • Report control weaknesses, illegal, suspicious, or unusual trading activity
  • Identify and report regulatory reporting-related incidents and breaches
  • Maintain an appropriate level of competence through ongoing training
  • Participate as a member of the monthly Trade and Transaction Reporting Committee and working group
  • Oversee procedures for risk and control purposes and implement improvements when necessary
Qualifications

To land this role you will need:
  • Exposure to regulatory transaction reporting, with a minimum of 5+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of current regulatory reporting requirements under EMIR and MiFIR
  • Regulatory reporting QA specialist background preferable
  • Exposure to SFTR preferable
  • Solid market knowledge across a wide range of asset classes and financial markets
  • Experiences in implementing and maintaining new regulatory regimes
  • A strong understanding of the compliance function and its interaction with operations
  • IT skills, including complete proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Experience in SQL, JIRA, and Confluence preferable
