About Our Client

Our client is a prominent leader in industry sector. With an unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence, we are looking for an accomplished Operations Director to join their team.

As a Board Member, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization, overseeing and coordinating activities across multiple production sites.

Job Description

  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of high-level strategies as a key member of the Board
  • Provide strategic insights and guidance to enhance overall operational efficiency
  • Oversee and coordinate activities across multiple production sites
  • Ensure standardized operational practices and consistent quality across all plants
  • Implement strategic initiatives to optimize production processes and ensure the highest standards of quality
  • Leverage expertise in building greenfield projects to spearhead the setup of new production facilities
  • Drive the establishment of robust processes and workflows for sustainable and efficient operations
  • Actively participate in Board meetings, presenting insights and updates related to operations
  • Collaborate with Board Members to ensure alignment between operational goals and overall company objectives
  • Provide visionary leadership to site managers and operational teams
  • Mentor and develop teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Drive the implementation and maintenance of stringent quality assurance measures
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Effectively manage resources to meet production targets while maintaining cost efficiency
  • Identify and implement initiatives for resource optimization and operational excellence

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent qualifications preferred
  • Proven experience as an Operations Director or in a similar leadership role
  • Extensive background in managing large-scale production facilities
  • Experience in supervising several production plants, ensuring coordinated and effective operations
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully building greenfield projects and establishing efficient processes
  • Strong understanding of the plastics industry and related technologies will be an advantage
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Board-level experience or a demonstrated capacity for strategic decision-making
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
