Our dream at HEINEKEN is to help our customers grow by serving them better, faster and smarter with digital solutions. To do so, we created a brand-new E-Business team that combines a portfolio of solutions and services to meet the needs and solve the pain points of our customers. The HEINEKEN E-Business team is where product teams, Global Sales, Digital & Technology, as well as our Operating Companies work together in an agile way, break through classical silos and adopt new ways of working.

As Senior Integration Architect, your role involves collaborating with engineering teams to design robust integration architectures throughout setting integration principles and guidelines, contributing to HEINEKEN International's Evergreen strategy. You will be leading and coordinating the work of integration architects and provide technical expertise for other team members. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust, scalable integration solutions.

We are looking for someone with an agile mindset who can easily work in changing conditions and collaborate with various people, cultures and stakeholder levels.

The role sits within Digital & Technology as part of the E-Business team and will report directly to the Chapter Lead for Integrations.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • developing and maintaining the organization's API strategy, including standards for API design, security, and governance to ensure a consistent and secure API ecosystem
  • designing and architecting sophisticated integration solutions, focusing on API-led connectivity to streamline and optimizing business processes and data flow between various systems, applications, and services
  • implementing efficient service orchestration mechanisms to manage complex workflows and business logic that span multiple services and systems
  • overseeing the selection and implementation of appropriate middleware solutions that align with the business needs and integration goals, ensuring a seamless, agile, and efficient integration environment
  • ensuring high performance and responsiveness of APIs and integrations, incorporating best practices in caching, throttling, and monitoring
  • defining and enforcing security protocols and policies for API access, ensuring secure data exchange and compliance with relevant data protection regulations
  • working closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, product owners, and technical teams, to translate business requirements into robust integration solutions
  • leading the integration team in adopting best practices in API development and orchestration.

You are a good candidate if you have:

  • 7-12 years of experience in IT, with focus on designing and implementing integration architectures, API management and orchestration
  • proficiency in one of the leading middleware platforms on the market: Mulesoft, Boomi, Azure API management
  • deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, ESBs, and event-driven architecture
  • experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)
  • knowledge of GraphQL, indicating the ability to design and implement flexible, efficient APIs tailored to the consumers' needs
  • strong background in relevant programming languages, middleware, and databases
  • familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and their integration services.
  • ability to solve complex integration challenges, with strong analytical skills and the capacity to think strategically about technology and its business implications
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive integration projects to successful completion.
