We are on the lookout for a new team member to join us as a Senior Associate focusing on Anti Money Laundering (AML), Prevention, and Know Your Client (KYC) in a hybrid/remote position based in Wroclaw, Poland.
Team Overview:
The AML/KYC/Prevention team plays a crucial role in researching, preparing, and evaluating risk profiles for clients of varying risk levels and complexities. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments and ongoing due diligence for investors, as well as managing investor accounts and static data within funds administered by BNY Mellon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting AML investor account reviews, financial sanction screenings, and independent research.
- Performing AML checks in alignment with policies and procedures.
- Engaging with BNY Mellon's clients and investors.
- Understanding and discussing AML regulations with clients and investors.
- Approving Investor AML files to ensure compliance standards are met.
- Providing reports and insights to Compliance and Senior Management.
Requirements for Success:
- Preferably a College Degree with a minimum of experience in Investor Services/Transfer Agency.
- Familiarity with Luxembourg AML/KYC regulations is desirable.
- Strong understanding of legal structures such as hedge funds, special purpose vehicles, partnerships, trusts, and charities.
- Knowledge of public information sources across various jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Experience in meeting tight deadlines, multitasking, and performing well under pressure.
- Ability to engage with different business sectors and the wider BNY Mellon organization.
