We are on the lookout for a future team member to fill the role of Senior Associate, Accounting in our newly established Global Institutional Accounting team.

This position is based in Wrocław, Poland (hybrid).

In this role, your contributions will include:

  • Completing activities crucial for delivering services accurately and promptly to clients, such as determining NAV, calculating fund performance, and more.
  • Conducting in-depth data analysis and leading projects across different business areas, identifying trends, performing root cause analysis, and executing recommendations.
  • Serving as an escalation point for junior team members, overseeing work allocation and ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Engaging with clients to address inquiries and resolve issues related to fund reports and accounting procedures.
  • Assisting the team Manager in effectively steering the team, implementing departmental strategies, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Supervising a small-sized Accounting team, reviewing daily tasks, and providing guidance and support to less experienced staff.
  • Performing reviews, conducting technical tests, and implementing accounting software.

To excel in this role, we are looking for individuals with:

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills (proficient in spoken and written English at B/C level).
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum years of experience in a similar field, with a preference for years of total experience). Previous exposure to Fund Accounting or Reconciliation is a plus.
  • A solid understanding of various market securities like bonds, equities, derivatives, and market events such as corporate actions.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivots, formulas, etc.) and the ability to quickly adapt to new applications. Knowledge of SQL is beneficial.
  • Analytical prowess with a track record of handling complex financial and numerical data. Experience with large databases and understanding their functionality is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage high work volumes within tight deadlines.
