What You'll Be Doing?

This position is part of the Centre for Genomics Research. We seek recent graduate bioinformatics scientists to support the growing genome informatics requirements of the Centre. As a member of the Omics Bioinformatics team, you will apply your bioinformatics expertise within the CGR's diverse research environment, collaborating with computational biologists, genome experts, software engineers, statistical geneticists, postdoctoral researchers, disease specialists, and clinical professionals.

On a daily basis, you will:

  • Run data processing pipelines and workflows; troubleshoot any potential issues related to data, metadata, or tools.
  • Ensure data management aligns with standards, managing data transfers, metadata, QC, and various data integration tasks.
  • Work with cutting-edge cloud-based informatics technologies designed to analyze large-scale data with a goal of reaching 2 million genomes by 2026.
