RTB House is a data driven company, where technology positions us as a leader in programmatic advertising. We work with thousands of clients in EMEA, APAC and the Americas. Our highly optimised system serves over 15M QPS generating petabytes of various data points.

We're looking for an enthusiastic person to take a role of Data Analyst directly supporting our VP of Engineering and senior leadership team. If you're excited about turning data into valuable insights, building data models and mining enormous datasets this role may be a great fit for you.

Objectives of this role
  • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualisation
  • Develop, implement, and maintain analytics systems, solving problems thru lens of complex datasets and building simple frameworks
  • Together with our data and machine learning engineers, you will develop complex data processing pipelines in the cloud or on-premise
  • Work directly with CTO, VP eng, senior managers to gather requirements, build data models and various analysis
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and suggest improvements to handling, processing, and cleaning data
Responsibilities
  • Analysis of contextual and behavioural signals that influence the performance of thousands of marketing campaigns,
  • Designing and developing new data processing and analysis pipelines, including use of generative artificial intelligence, to improve company's core product,
  • Formulating statistical hypotheses that could improve ads targeting and researching big amounts of data to validate them,
  • Preparation of prototypes and production level data processing scripts using SQL, Python
  • Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
  • Proactively analyse data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity
  • Create and maintain visualisations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution
  • Develop and maintain datastores by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets
Required skills and qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, economics, or statistics
  • More than 3 years of proven practical experience mining data / data analysis as a data analyst
  • Experience in research & development - statistical hypothesis creation and fluently using statistical modelling techniques incl. simulations, clustering, forecasting, A/B live testing,
    SQL, Python at an advanced level, experience with processing large data sets, creating complex queries, optimising computational complexity.
  • Knowledge of Google BigQuery is definitely an advantage
  • Experience creating meaningful data visualisations and reports
  • Solid understanding of in fundamentals of statistics
  • Practical experience with creating data models and data exploration
  • Experience in dealing with data technologies from one of the major cloud providers
  • Confident demeanour and excellent communication skills
