  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field;
  • Proven experience in business development, project management, or a similar role, preferably within the defense, maritime, or related industries. Experience in naval logistics strongly preferred;
  • Strong understanding of the Polish defense sector, including key stakeholders and regulatory landscape;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of business and government;
  • Fluent in Polish and English;
  • Ability to travel as needed within Poland and internationally.

Role Overview: As the Business Development and Liaison Manager for Hanwha Ocean in Poland, you will be instrumental in promoting and strategically positioning Hanwha Ocean in the Polish market, particularly focusing on securing and implementing Maritime project. This role involves developing comprehensive MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), TOT (Transfer of Technology), and localization strategies to ensure project success while navigating the complex commercial and political landscapes. Your efforts will enhance Hanwha Ocean's presence and ensure compliance with local requirements, fostering robust relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Development: Assist in developing the MRO, TOT, and localization plan for Maritime project. Help write the MRO, TOT, and localization proposal, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Promotion: Actively promote Hanwha Ocean to potential clients, assisting in the acquisition of the Maritime Project.
  • Risk Investigation: Assess risks within the Polish market (commercial, political, etc.) and monitor competitor activities to effectively strategize Hanwha Ocean's market positioning.
  • Information and Documentation Provision: Supply Hanwha Ocean with essential information, documents, and advice to support project acquisition and business development. This includes guidance on local laws, regulations, accounting, and taxation matters relevant to our operations and projects.
  • Liaison Services: Serve as the primary point of contact between Hanwha Ocean and key Polish stakeholders, including the Ministry of National Defence, Armament Agency, Polish Navy, PGZ, and other authorities. Address and resolve client inquiries promptly, ensuring seamless communication and relationship management.
  • Meeting Organization and Facilitation: Coordinate and facilitate crucial meetings between Hanwha Ocean representatives and key decision-makers, as well as relevant third parties, to discuss project-related matters and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Logistical Support for Visiting Teams: Arrange comprehensive logistical support for Hanwha Ocean teams visiting from Korea HQ, including accommodations, transportation, and local guidance, ensuring a productive and hassle-free stay in Poland.
  • Business Development and Authorization Assistance: Identify and develop new business opportunities for Hanwha Ocean, assisting in the acquisition of necessary authorizations for entering government facilities and engaging in other activities critical to project success.
