Role:

A Senior Q2C Accountant acts as a Quote to Cash subject-matter expert. She/He has strong end-to-end processes expertise – especially within cash application and daily sales reconciliation areas. She/He assists in the day-to-day operation, training, and development of junior colleagues and supports the Q2C Team Leader. A self-driven person requires minimum or no supervision.

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee cash application process and reconciliation of unapplied payments, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Proactively resolve customer issues and exceptions.
  • Ensure timely completion of all period-end activities assigned to the Q2C stream.
  • Prepare business reports and statistics for the Management – when requested.
  • Identify issues or risks and proactively work to resolve them, involve management on a needed basis.
  • Design and develop process documentation based on knowledge transfer and gained experience.
  • Assist with both internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely and accurate responses to requested information.
  • Actively assist junior staff in achieving and sustaining performance levels by established standards.
  • Provide inputs about process improvement opportunities; coach junior accountants and accountants on identifying and managing process improvement projects.
  • Partner effectively with stakeholders to achieve common goals; engage team members and leverage team knowledge.

Requirements:

  • University degree preferable in accounting/finance; certification in Accounting (ACCA, Chief Accountant) will be an asset.
  • Very good knowledge of IFRS.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • 4+ years of experience in the Accounts Receivable area.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of various payment methods and how they must be recorded in the books/system.
  • Comprehensive understanding of internal control frameworks in AR operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP is a strong asset).
  • Demonstrated experience in the utilization of advanced technologies for AR processes.
  • Fluent English (written and oral) is required.
  • Very good knowledge of German (written and oral) is required.
  • Experience in Finance/Accounting Transition projects is a plus, especially migrations of the processes from Germany.
  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to maintain professional business contacts.
  • Magnificent analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and toward deadlines.
