Our client, a prominent player in the global FMCG industry, is set to establish a Shared Services Center (SSC) department in Kraków.

Role:

The main objective of this position will be to effectively coordinate the daily work of the team, as well as to be the main contact point between the team and the business. The Team Leader will be responsible for cascading and executing team objectives and providing "soft" support for the team – being available for questions, discussing further development possibilities, and supporting team members in extraordinary cases. The person in this position will also handle communication and escalations with customers.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of approx. 10–15 people.
  • Hold direct reports accountable for their performance by providing feedback, coaching, and assessment.
  • Responsible for staff onboarding and training.
  • Manage Q2C operations for the assigned team daily to meet agreed objectives, as per SLA.
  • Assure process compliance with local and corporate policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Provide operational support to team members; act as subject-matter expert if needed.
  • Participate in projects and special topics (e.g. integration of new companies or implementation of new systems).
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Handle customer communication and escalations.
  • Monitor, interpret and report key performance indicators.
  • Initiate and drive local and global process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A university degree preferably in accounting/finance, and certification in Accounting (ACCA, Chief Accountant) will be an asset.
  • Very good knowledge of IFRS.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP is a strong asset).
  • Fluent English (written and oral) is required.
  • Very good knowledge of German (written and oral) is required.
  • Relevant experience in a Shared service or similar environment, preferably in a Team Leader or Team Coordinator position, min. 2 years.
  • Project management skills (PM certificates will be an asset).
  • Experience in Finance/Accounting Transition projects is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to maintain professional business contacts.
  • Magnificent analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, flexible and open to changes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and toward deadlines.
