About the Role :
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Accountant will be a key customer facing, internal and external, role that will proactively deal with Balance Sheet Controllership and Account Management queries on a daily basis. Manage accounting functions and delivery of Core Service Offerings to the internal Customer base and ongoing projects as well as ad hoc requests. Establish and maintain accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations as required for the Company's financial focus/initiatives.
This finance role is undertaken by delivering a consistent level of high service in line with Planet Group policies and procedures and in keeping with the Company's Vision, Mission and Strategy. Going forward a team leading role can be achieved.
What you will do :
Accountable for the delivery of the monthly and annual Management Accounts in line with Group deadlines
Accountable for compliance with local Accounting Standards and Tax Legislation.
Accountable for the reconciliation of key balance sheet items.
Compile financial information to review and/or prepare journal entries, in an accurate and timely manner.
Interprets the meaning of financial information and makes accounting adjustments accordingly.
Preparation of financial reports
Ensure local Tax Free Export Scheme is adhered to in relation to fiscal documentation requirements.
Cooperate with other departments (e.g. Admin and Sales) to ensure the processes are aligned.
Working with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
Co-ordinate and complete annual audits and quarterly reviews, including working with external auditors and responding to audit inquiries.
Be the lead specialists in accounting projects as they arise.
Assisting the Group Finance with ad hoc group projects and ensure deadlines are adhered to.
Who you are ? :
The successful candidate will be a motivated Senior Accountant who can both work autonomously and be part of a Global team. Will need to succeed in a forward thinking fast paced environment.
The individual will need to be able to demonstrate drive, curiosity, an ability to work from his or her own initiative and an attention to detail.
You'll ideally have several years' relevant post ACCA/CIMA or ACA qualification experience
Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills
Ability to focus on multiple tasks, while meeting all internal and public company deadlines
Ability to resolve issues and propose solutions to issues that arise on a day-to-day basis
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles
Use of an ERP system with Workday Finance experience viewed as a major bonus
Excellent IT skills including Windows, PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills, which are a key requirement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships at all levels within the organisation
Proven team working skills
Fluent Polish and English both written and verbal
Ability to work in a fast paced working environment and quickly build positive working relationships
Proven initiative and common sense
Ability to self-motivate and self-prioritize with minimal supervision
Ability to work with accounting and finance management in a team environment
