Responsibilities:

In detail: Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and algorithms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and develop data-driven solutions. Conduct experiments (simple causal inference or AB tests) to evaluate model performance and contribute to data-driven decision-making. Demonstrate a data product mindset, aligning solutions with business objectives and contributing to the development of data-driven products. Independently handle complex projects, collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver solutions meeting business needs. Simplify model details for business owners, effectively communicating the value and impact of machine learning models on business outcomes. Work closely with business and product counterparts at every stage of model development, ensuring alignment with goals and incorporating feedback. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure seamless integration of machine learning models into production systems. Implement scalable and efficient machine learning solutions, considering performance, reliability, and maintainability. Contribute to documentation of models, algorithms, and best practices, facilitating knowledge sharing within the team. Bring experience from product-based companies to enhance the relevance and effectiveness of machine learning solutions. Conduct research to stay abreast of the latest advancements in ML and and contribute to the development of organizational standards by bringing in industry best practices.

Requirements:

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, focusing on end-to-end development and deployment in a production environment. Strong programming skills in Python. Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience with cloud-based services (, AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform). Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and experience with big data technologies. Demonstrated ability to mentor a team of machine learning professionals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong project management and organizational skills, handling large projects, defining roadmaps, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Commitment to continuous learning and innovation, leveraging industry best practices and the latest technologies. Experience working in a fast-paced or startup environment, adapting to rapidly changing requirements. Deep familiarity with relevant technologies is a plus. Passion for problem-solving, creativity, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines and backgrounds.
