Role overview:

As a Senior Manager specializing in Cloud Platform, Data & Analytics at Stryker, you will be instrumental in driving the integration, growth, and day-to-day administration of cloud infrastructure to meet the organization's Data & Analytics demands. Your responsibilities will include leading the setup and rollout of cloud-based Data & Analytics platforms with a strong emphasis on Azure Synapse Analytics. Your expertise will be pivotal in guiding cloud platform management, technology direction, security protocols, and empowering a team of cloud platform architects and engineers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Talent Management: Key player in cultivating a dynamic workforce, overseeing talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, and drive engagement strategies to create a positive and inclusive workplace.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to grasp their data and analytics requirements, delivering solutions that drive tangible business value. Collaborate with Data Engineering and Business/customer teams seamlessly.
  • Technical Leadership and Management: Lead the setup and management of cloud-based Data & Analytics platforms, specifically Azure Analytics Platform. Drive technical leadership in modernizing and consolidating legacy data systems onto the Azure platform. Oversee migration challenges and provide strategic guidance to architects on the team.Data Governance and Compliance: Establish and execute cloud governance guidelines and best practices. Develop policies for resource allocation, security, compliance, and cost management. Demonstrate expertise in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and data privacy regulations.
  • Monitoring and Security: Implement robust monitoring and auditing mechanisms essential for governance. Administer user access and authentication to the analytics platform in collaboration with IT Infrastructure and IT security teams. Monitor cloud costs, enforce data backup, disaster recovery plans, and define data retention policies for effective data management.

Education and certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or relevant fields from an accredited university.
  • Preferably a Master's degree in MIS, MBA, or related disciplines. Additional certifications on Azure platform are advantageous.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Over 10 years of IT experience with a focus on cloud infrastructure, data platforms, Business Intelligence/Analytics, and systems architecture and design.
  • Leadership experience of more than 5 years in managing internal and external teams, influential in senior-level management and stakeholders engagement; background in regulated industries is a plus.
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience in Azure administration & architecture, Azure Data Services, ARM templates, PowerShell, and CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in data architecture, governance, and self-service analytics principles. Proven ability in building partnerships across technical, business, and sales teams with excellent communication and team building skills. Familiarity with Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence solutions.
