Job Description

Being a part of Eurofins Food, Feed & Agro Testing Europe's IT Infrastructure Support Team means you play a key role in a dynamic international team. You will take the lead on important IT infrastructure projects that have a significant impact on our business operations. This position involves working closely with business leaders, managing stakeholders, and collaborating with various internal and external parties. Your main focus will be driving major IT infrastructure transitions and transformations across our Food, Feed, and Agro Testing divisions in Europe.

Tasks include managing and delivering multiple interconnected IT infrastructure projects involving installations, configurations, and migrations of enterprise-level IT systems such as Windows Server, Linux, VMWare, cloud solutions (Azure, Amazon), Active Directory, Office 365, and various network and security components. You will define project scope, estimate budgets, allocate resources, and ensure seamless communication within the team.

You will be responsible for identifying and addressing project delivery risks and issues, establishing mitigation strategies, and ensuring progress. Managing project schedules and budgets is vital, as is ensuring all deliverables meet high-quality standards within the agreed timeline. Establishing delivery monitoring controls and governance mechanisms to guide multiple teams and suppliers across organizations is key to delivering projects with a strong return on investment.

Additionally, you will prepare and present decision-making materials to senior executive management, ensuring alignment with policies, best practices, and standards. Your leadership will inspire teams and drive projects to successful completion.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must have a proven track record in managing complex IT infrastructure projects, particularly in integration, post-acquisition, transition, or carve-out scenarios within an international organization. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are crucial, as is the ability to demonstrate these in various business situations.

You should possess strong project leadership abilities and effective team communication skills, focusing on building lasting partnerships through written and verbal communications. Experience in agile/rapid development methodologies and a deep understanding of IT Quality Management Systems and Waterfall Methodology are essential.

Proficiency in Microsoft Project or other project management tools is required. The ability to work in a dynamic environment, deliver results by influencing resources outside the traditional hierarchy, and manage geographically dispersed teams is necessary. Fluency in English and business-level communication skills in German are a must. Willingness to travel frequently throughout Europe and a positive approach to tackling challenges are vital.
