Technical Writer

Responsibilities:

• Producing high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience
• Working with internal teams and external subcontractors on product and documentation requirements
• Writing clear and concise requirement, design, testing, installation and accreditation documentation
• Creating end-user documentation; including, tutorials, manuals, troubleshooting guides
• Editing, proofreading and revising/rewriting existing content
• Maintaining a coherent technical terminology and documentation set in the project

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field
• Excellent IT technical writing and communication skills (English) with proven experience of at least 5 years
• Practical experience in working with Microsoft Office (spreadsheet, word processor and visualization) tools
• Practical experience in working with Microsoft Visio
• Practical experience in working with Microsoft SharePoint to manage document repositories, configurations and content
• Experience in using Enterprise Architecture tools
• Good knowledge of Enterprise IT infrastructures, Microsoft 365 and cloud computing technologies
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts in standards/product descriptions/manuals and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to work efficiently with internal technical teams and external subcontractors on product and documentation requirements
• Excellent formal writing skills in English

Nice-to-have:

• Good knowledge of CIS Security and accreditation processes
• Former experience in NCIA and knowledge of the NATO/NCI
• Agency structure and CIS security/accreditation process and
• procedures
• A Certificate of Security Obligation
