eCatalogs is an external module to our sophisticated e-commerce system which purpose is to prepare and automate the generating process of non-standard product catalogs for our most demanding customers. For this project we are looking for a Fullstack Python Developer (Intern) to join the team of 3 people who will support us with developing new features.
It's a Python 3.9 / Django / Docker-based web application entirely owned and maintained by the team in Gdańsk.

About the project:

We are following Agile principles to incrementally deliver better solutions required by business, As an Agile framework, we are leaning more towards Extreme Programming with pair programming, We are looking for a person who likes to take responsibility for the product in every aspect, Since the team is very small the person needs to be willing to participate in all elements of software delivery process, We are sharing the knowledge and passion and we seek for improvements.

Main Responsibilities to take part in:

Developing the code for backend and frontend Implementing technical tasks to improve the platform and delivery processes. Refining the business tasks from Product Owner Planning the work for every iteration (Sprint) Providing support for issues raised by business Making sure the planned tasks are delivered on time. Reviewing and debugging the code Taking responsibility for the quality of the application by:

sharing common code style

fixing issues identified by SonarQube

writing unit tests

upgrading the development stack to the latest versions

developing and performing integration tests

Creating automatic release and deployment pipelines with Jenkins, Docker, and Ansible Monitoring and fixing bugs

Nice to have experience in:

Development of web applications in any of Python 3+ web frameworks, preferably Django Working with NoSQL databases Additional experience in Front-end development is beneficial, including HTML/CSS, jQuery/JS and Bootstrap Understanding the principles of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Practicing Clean Code, Unit Testing, Clean Architecture Basic understanding of using the Git Version Control System Automating software delivery with Docker / Ansible / Jenkins Practicing Pair Programing and other Extreme Programming practices Practicing QA testing of a self-developed product Refactoring of existing code Support of web application (ex. monitoring, debugging)
