We are now looking for an enthusiastic Service Engineer, Propulsion to join our skilled team.
The role is offered on a permanent basis and will be based in Gdansk, Poland.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Service Engineer, Propulsion you will be executing Field Service activities in accordance with Wärtsilä quality, providing technical expertise for our customers and ensuring customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will be traveling for various service jobs approximately 50-60% of your working time, mostly for projects located within Europe (Poland and other countries). Therefore, we are looking for candidates who are ready and willing to travel, with a strong Field Service mindset.
What will you be doing as Service Engineer, Propulsion? Your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Mechanical maintenance and overhauling skill require for FPP, CPP, Gearbox, Transverse thruster, Azimuth thruster and WaterJet etc.
- Carry out Propulsion product trouble shoot, maintenance and investigation.
- Execute Propulsion product warranty, commissioning work and supervision of new building project.
- Executing warranty, commissioning work & supervision of Field Service.
- Preparing service work reports.
- Technical communications with Wärtsilä field service stakeholders and customers.
Requirements for the position
- Diploma/BSc in Mechanical, Marine, Electric & Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Ability to work on engine/propulsion with field service & marine engineer background.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have propulsion FS experience.
- Good command of written and verbal English
- Fluent Polish
As an ideal candidate you might also have...
- Ability to understand, use and correct hydraulic, electrical and automation schematics and drawings, and related component level documentation.
- Possess suitable real-world knowledge and experience related to control system specification and design, marine power distribution, motor control, process sensors and instrumentation, valves, pumps, fans, and other process system componentry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
