Profile:

Commodities business delivers a market leading and harmonized suite of Commodity Insights through both LSEG Workspace ecosystem and data feeds driven by a focus on the Energy Transition. We are looking for candidate who can lead development of the Commodities Workspace applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and own Workspace Solutions for internal and external use, coordinating the deployment into production and leads release
  • Acts as a domain expert and owns the thinking around Workspace Solutions for Commodities domain in particular
  • Creates trust and credibility with customers/user community and works with them to identify issues and risks that may impact them
  • Implements a customer-aware culture for their team, ensuring close working relationships with Product, Project Management, Technical Operations etc
  • Communicates across globally diverse teams
  • Develop new user-facing features with good quality, performance, reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Champion agile development practice, requirement reviews, design reviews, and code reviews
  • Work as a team, flexible, proactive, well organized and focus on objectives with high standard and quality
  • Seek out new technologies and ideas to contribute to our products or processes
  • Guide junior team members
  • Lead one or multiple projects efficiently

Qualifications:

  • Experience building modern JavaScript/TypeScript or shared component libraries
  • Familiar with Node.JS, Web Server technologies
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experienced with browser tuning and optimization techniques/tools.
  • Familiar with web standards and protocols such as HTTP and socket APIs in general
  • Experienced in SVN or GIT
  • Experienced in Continuous Development
