We, at Enterprise IT Security, are dedicated to securing the IT journey for the Volvo Group. We collaborate closely with stakeholders from different Business Areas (BAs), Truck Divisions (TDs), and Group Functions (GFs). While BAs drive business operations, TDs focus on research, development, procurement, manufacturing, and assembly. Within the Volvo Group, GFs set the Group's agenda, offer strategic guidance, and hold global responsibility for IT, legal, compliance, and security functions.

Joining Enterprise IT Security means becoming part of Group Digital & IT (Group Function), a diverse global team of highly skilled professionals who work passionately, trust each other, and embrace change to stay ahead. At EITS, we collaborate closely with the Group Security function and security units in TDs, BAs, and GFs to enhance our security posture.

Job Summary:

Head of Advisory serves as the primary contact ensuring the consistent delivery of IT Security advisory services.

As part of Volvo Group, you will help establish a new function and team to provide security expertise to other IT solution teams within TDs/BAs/GFs. Your role involves ensuring digital products and solutions adhere to Volvo Group's security standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main contact point for TDs/BAs/GFs within EITS for IT security advisory services.
  • Build a capable global team to offer advisory services effectively.
  • Establish KPIs and dashboard capabilities for showcasing the efficacy of advisory services.
  • Generate consistent reports on advisory services across Volvo Group.
  • Facilitate collaboration with other EITS units to provide support and consultancy for addressing test results.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with external vendors when internal advisory services are insufficient.
  • Enhance advisory services continuously to optimize value.
  • Recruit and retain a team of proficient security experts in multiple locations.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in 'building a team from scratch'
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners
  • Capacity to identify and resolve issues promptly
  • Experience in client-facing roles, translating complex IT concepts into actionable advice
  • Innovative mindset with a keen interest in staying ahead of technological advancements

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Over 10 years of experience in IT Operations, Security & Development
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role
