Your team is based in our office in Harlow/Gdansk. They are handling accounting activities for our companies in France. You can expect a great atmosphere and plenty of interesting challenges, especially at the end of the month. You will receive mentoring from other team members to enhance your accounting knowledge and gain valuable experience within a large organization, paving the way for career advancement.

What You Will Be Doing at Arrow?

As a Junior Accountant, you will be engaged in General Ledger controlling, compliance, and various general accounting and reporting tasks, along with other financial reconciliation and control duties as needed within the team. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in the following areas:

  • Take part in the month-end financial close procedures including month-end journals and assisting with accruals and prepayments.
  • Ensure the accuracy of selected General Ledger accounts for the assigned Arrow companies.
  • Assist in preparing all necessary internal reporting required for both the Europe and US head offices.
  • Prepare relevant Sarbanes Oxley controls.
  • Assist in preparing Statutory & Corporate reconciliations.
  • Support and participate in annual audit work.
  • Oversee the fixed asset register and all related accounting activities, collaborating with the Accounts Payable clerks and other business areas as needed.
  • Prepare any necessary variance analysis for all the above tasks.
  • Support other accountants within the team on a variety of assignments to meet the finance department's overall requirements.
  • Engage in developing new and efficient processes and procedures within the accounting team.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Accounting Manager on projects and ad-hoc tasks.

What Are We Looking For?

  • You are pursuing studies in AAT or ACCA or you hold a finance/accounting degree.
  • You are eager to acquire knowledge.
  • You possess fluent English and French language skills.
  • You have intermediate or advanced Excel and data manipulation abilities.
  • You are a results-oriented individual.
  • You can perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • You have the capability to prioritize your tasks.

The Skills That Will Help You to Succeed Even More (nice to have):

  • You have basic knowledge of general accounting and reporting procedures.
  • You have experience in conducting accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • You are familiar with ERP systems, with knowledge of Microsoft AX being an advantage.
