Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer at IG Group

As a QA Engineer at IG Group, you will be a key player in a team of engineers responsible for developing the technology that drives our retail brokerage business and supports our other projects. You'll be testing both back-end (REST API) and Front-end (Web, iOS, Android, and Desktop) applications. We prioritize the speed and stability of our back-end systems along with the customer-facing applications. Our architecture is always evolving to meet new technical challenges with a focus on practicality and performance.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will start by collaborating with the Website team responsible for the IG US website.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to test new features and perform regression testing on various software applications.
  • Develop and expand testing frameworks using modern tools like Mocha, Chai, and Node Modules.
  • Create new tests in Ruby or JavaScript and maintain existing Test Automation.
  • Communicate with Engineering teams and business partners to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Identify and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the Engineering Quality Assurance strategy.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in test automation using languages like JavaScript, Java, or Ruby.
  • Proficiency in backend and front-end automation using frameworks and NPM Modules.
  • Understanding of testing methodologies including UAT and System Testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
  • Proficient in Ruby, JavaScript, or programming for test automation.
  • Experience in Webservice Test Automation and cross-platform testing.
  • Building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
  • Interest in Automation, QA, financial markets, and trading.
