As a QA Engineer, you will be part of a team of engineers that builds out the technology that powers our retail brokerage business and supports our other business initiatives. From day one you will be testing both back-end (REST API) and Front-end (Web, iOS, Android, and Desktop) applications. Your role in the team

The role will need you to draw on your experience in approaches such as Continuous Delivery and understand how and when to use diverse testing techniques to deliver high-quality software that accurately represents the business domain. You will be comfortable working closely with both business and technical stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes.

What you'll do

• You will initially work with the Website team, covering the IG US website estate.
• Work within the engineering team to test new functionality, as well as regression testing a multitude of different software applications.
• Building/extending testing framework based on modern frameworks like WebDriver.IO, Mocha, Chai, and Node Modules.
• New test development in Ruby or and maintenance of existing Test Automation
• Interact with the Engineering teams and business partners to ensure a suitable understanding of requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Raise and manage any defects identified throughout the software development life cycle.
• Contribute to the Engineering Quality Assurance strategy.

What you'll need for this role

• Significant experience in automation of backend and front-end applications using or Ruby frameworks and NPM Modules.
• Understanding of testing methodologies and their application, UAT, and System Testing
• Analytical approach to problem-solving
• Able to use necessary tools to debug problems with the software.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of software testing techniques
• Good understanding of CI / CD Process Flow
• Webservice Test Automation
• Cross-platform testing experience.
• Interest in Automation, QA, financial markets, trading , and a willingness to learn more about them.

• 3 years of professional experience writing test automation using either , JavaScript, Java, or Ruby.
• Significant experience in automation of backend and front-end applications using or Ruby frameworks and NPM Modules.
• Understanding of testing methodologies and their application, UAT, and System Testing

• Able to use necessary tools to debug problems with the software.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of software testing techniques
• Good understanding of CI / CD Process Flow
• Proficient in , Ruby, or JavaScript programming and applying test automation.

• Build and Maintain test automation frameworks using and JavaScript. REST API (Postman), Microservices, and REST API Testing
