Position Overview
As the Medical Affairs Director at Novo Nordisk, you will lead the strategic planning and implementation of medical activities and projects. You will be responsible for facilitating medical communication, providing cutting-edge medical and clinical development expertise, and ensuring the effective delivery of the company's message to key stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of medical professionals, including Medical Managers, Therapy Leads, and Regional Medical Advisors.
  • Establishing strong partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in specific therapy areas.
  • Collaborating with the commercial team to offer medical insights for marketing strategies and operational plans.
  • Working with the clinical medical management team to devise strategies for clinical trials, site selections, and staff training.
  • Assisting in the development of reimbursement dossiers to support market access.
  • Coordinating with European regional teams to formulate regionally relevant medical strategies.
  • Representing Novo Nordisk in engagements with external organizations, such as Infarma, and cultivating connections within the medical community.

On a personal level, you should possess a strong independent spirit, exceptional leadership qualities, and effective collaboration skills to motivate teams and collaborate across functions. Furthermore, you must be adept at problem-solving to navigate challenging situations.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, we require:

  • A medical degree and relevant experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a background in team management.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of areas like diabetology, cardiology, obesity, and related therapeutic fields.
  • Experience in strategic medical planning and executing medical initiatives.
  • The ability to contribute medical insights to marketing strategies and support market access endeavors.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
  • Proficiency in Polish is advantageous.

About the Department
The Medical Affairs division at Novo Nordisk is dedicated to formulating and implementing scientific communication strategies and related communication plans throughout all stages of clinical trials. Working closely with clinical development, regulatory affairs, and other stakeholders, the team ensures the provision of top-quality medical guidance and education. As a member of the Clinical, Medical, and Regulatory department in Poland, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team committed to positively impacting patients' lives.
