The role involves supporting units from the EMEA region for accounting activities in the field of taxes.

Description

To support EMEA VAT team in accounting tasks connected with GL accounts reconciliations and tax postings. To support the transformation of VAT booking processes into more robust and stable. To develop an effective governance operating model in the accounting of taxes. Providing SAP support and expertise to other team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform tax returns operations including preparation of journal entries, clearing and reconciliation of GL accounts;
  • Coordinate and monitor GL balances for taxes and align with relevant parties;
  • Perform accruals, reclasses, and other tax account-related activities including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations;
  • Prepare GL account reconciliations in Blackline;
  • Perform and document FX analysis, prepare and post necessary FX entries for tax accounts;
  • Support (internal/external) audit requests, working with auditors;
  • Propose and implement process improvements;
  • Prepare training documents, and train and support team members in specific areas.

Profile

  • general accounting experience and connection with VAT, and tax-related topics;
  • Experience of working with ERP systems;
  • English - fluent in speaking and writing;
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Proficiency in general accounting under local or IFRS, US GAAP standards;
  • Problem-solving and strong analytical skills.
