Business Segment Overview: Engage in a deep variety of business-critical activities that keep our company running efficiently. From strategic marketing and financial management to human resources and operational oversight, you'll have the opportunity to optimize processes and implement game-changing policies.

Position Purpose: The experienced Business Analyst will support Business Data Analyst to understand execution lifecycle; source / validate / investigate and rectify data issue. It will also QA the dashboard data and scripts that are consumed by business leaders to easily access off-the-shelf dashboard. The successful candidate will apply the best possible combination of business knowledge, visualization and data engineering to merge large data for wide range of assets and a variety of portfolio to generate insight from those data sets for both technical and non-technical audiences. You must demonstrate a strong desire to develop and use technical skills to achieve real practicable results.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include:

  • Analysis of business data flow and specification.
  • Engage with SMEs to validate data.
  • Work with data team to improve data quality / add data in absence.
  • Preparation of curated dataset for creating KPI reports.
  • Support validating business dashboard.
  • Monitor and maintain daily analytics data ETL process.
  • Willingness to learn from senior team members to grow within the role of a Business Analyst.
Qualifications

To land this role you will need:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst role.
  • Experience in financial industry.
  • Demonstrable domain expertise in product metric identification, improving data quality, experimentation design and execution.
  • Good knowledge of SQL enabling data analysis
  • Can-do attitude, sense of ownership and a team-player approach.
  • Great communication skills with the ability to convey complex issues to non-technical parties
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to produce high quality, accurate work
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
What makes you stand out:
  • Having programming skills in Python for application in data science/engineering projects will be an additional advantage.
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets and experienced investment products including FX and derivatives in CFD would be a great advantage.
  • Experience with financial products and/or payment systems background in innovation including design thinking, prototyping and have solid commercial awareness.
  • Experience working with distributed, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Confidently produce data visualizations.
Education / Certification Requirements:
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent years of experience.
Working environment:
  • Hybrid (2 days from home, 3 days from the office)
