Project Overview:

With a legacy of 70+ years, Bechtel has been a pioneer in nuclear innovation, delivering clean energy solutions globally through the construction of over 150 nuclear power plants. Partnering with Westinghouse Electric Company, we are embarking on a groundbreaking project in Poland to introduce the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in the region. As the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor, Bechtel will oversee the entire project, from design to construction, aiming to strengthen Poland's energy infrastructure for the future.

Job Summary:

As the Construction Manager for the AP1000 Poland project, you will play a pivotal role in leading on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design, specifications, and local regulations. Serving as the primary contact for clients, you will oversee all field operations to guarantee timely and high-quality project completion. This role may involve working flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as required.

  • Manage and direct on-site construction activities
  • Coordinate efforts of Bechtel, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements
  • Develop and implement project plans and procedures
  • Oversee budget control and performance analysis
Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for implementing safety protocols, managing field operations, and ensuring compliance with regulations and project requirements. Direct all construction activities, oversee budget allocation, and analyze project performance to meet quality and schedule expectations. Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive project success.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Seeking candidates with a bachelor's or master's degree and 13-19 years of relevant experience. Must have extensive knowledge of construction operations, safety protocols, and project management. Strong leadership skills and previous experience in nuclear or energy-related projects are highly desirable.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Applicants must be a registered engineer and comply with Polish law requirements. Proficiency in Polish language is essential. Strong leadership, project management, and construction expertise are required, along with the ability to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Experience in nuclear projects and international construction will be advantageous.
