One of our outstanding clients is a Silicon Valley-based, innovative Fin-Tech company and currently seeking a driven and intelligent individual to join our expanding Accounting team.

As a Senior Accountant - Cash Operations, you should possess a deep understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), proficiency in accounting systems, and a strong commitment to ensuring an efficient monthly/quarterly/annual close and financial reporting process. Attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to deliver results under tight deadlines and collaborate effectively across functions in a fast-paced environment.

YOU WILL

  • Support the accounting period close, focusing on Cash and Cash Equivalents, including preparing and tracking cash transactions, recording daily bank activities, reconciling accounts, and conducting variance analysis.
  • Perform accounting and control procedures for complex transactions.
  • Execute existing accounting and reporting controls during monthly and quarterly close, including financial reporting reconciliations and support, as well as analytics and efficiency metrics.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Proactively review procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement to ensure timely and accurate monthly close and operational efficiency.
  • Aid in designing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Assist in preparing monthly balance sheet and income statement flux variance analysis for management reporting, with a focus on cash operations.

YOU NEED

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably a combination of private and public sector experience, with a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Recent experience in general ledger accounting at the Senior Accountant level in a public company, responsible for multiple balance sheet lines.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end accounting processes and financial statement line items.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership, curiosity to learn new skills, and passion for process improvement.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including vlookups, conditional statements, pivot tables, data analysis, data visualization, and what-if analysis.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
