Our Client is looking for experienced Senior AR Accountant - Debt Collection. Your daily duties will include raising invoices, running regular reports and credit checks, telephone and email communication with customers, debt collections (also via 3rd party agencies) and administering requests for account statements. You will also assist in maximizing cash collection and helping to analyze and reduce the risk within the bad debt category.

Our Client is looking for experienced Senior AR Accountant - Debt Collection. Your daily duties will include raising invoices, running regular reports and credit checks, telephone and email communication with customers, debt collections (also via 3rd party agencies) and administering requests for account statements. You will also assist in maximizing cash collection and helping to analyze and reduce the risk within the bad debt category.

Description

  • Credit assessment, credit hold and payment plan application
  • Debt collection - direct and vis 3rd party agents
  • Daily telephone and email communication with external and internal parties
  • Handling of ad hoc customer queries
  • Billing and coding of invoices
  • Bad debt and DSO analysis
  • Applying interest and dunning fees
  • Setting up new customer accounts
  • Performing period-end activities related to Credit Control area
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships and cooperation with local teams and other FSS departments
  • Preparing of ad hoc reports and analysis
  • Preparing of audit documentation
  • Issuing invoices
  • Posting bank statements
  • Responding to vendor/customer queries and reconciling vendor/customer balances
  • Support AR and AP accounting team in the daily operations
  • Other ad hoc tasks and projects defined by direct manager

Profile

  • Professional command English - spoken and written, German would be a plus
  • Master Degree in in Accounting, Finance, Economics
  • Experience in cash collection or accountant position (AR)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Attention to details
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Advanced MS Office applications skills (including MS Excel)
  • Team-working attitude and ownership of duties
  • Proactive and open approach
