We're looking for colleagues who will:

• optimize of Trade Surveillance applications and scenarios, including monitoring the effectiveness of Trade Surveillance systems and processes would be an advantage

• understand of relevant local regulatory, market conduct rules and industry standards to drive new surveillance requirements and identify areas where improvement is required

• collaborate with key stakeholders, including Monitoring, Surveillance & Control (MS&C) regional teams and IT

• work on own initiatives to deliver on time with a high level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards

Your team

You'll be joining a growing Surveillance Tuning & Calibration Team as part of Group Compliance, Regulatory and Governance (GCRG) Models and Methodologies, the models and innovation hub for UBS Non-Financial Risk Management. You'll play a driving role in ensuring ongoing effectiveness of trade surveillance models, focusing on continuous improvement and optimization of Trade Surveillance applications by enhancing scenario output and promoting global consistency across the program. As part of the T&C Team you will be conducting, documenting, and implementing global scenario calibrations, including in response to regulatory recommendations and requirements.

Your expertise

• a university degree in financial services, risk & compliance domain, mathematics/statistics or equivalent, with a minimum 3-5 years of experience ideally in Trade Surveillance and/or optimization of Trade Surveillance models

• hands on experience and understanding of Trade Surveillance models and systems such as SMARTS, SteelEye, Trading Hub or Actimize

• basic experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python)

• knowledge of relevant local regulatory and market conduct rules and regulations

• strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and opportunities

• self-starter, able to manage and prioritize multiple priorities

• excellent communication & presentation skills with strong focus in soft/interpersonal skills

• high proficiency and fluency in verbal and written English required
