About the project

Samsung Ads is a sophisticated advertising ecosystem that covers millions of smart devices on TV, mobile, desktop, and more. This project focuses on helping brands connect with Samsung TV audiences, creating the smartest advertising platform globally. By using machine learning algorithms, we improve advertising campaigns to target, personalize, and optimize. Our aim is to deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time, resulting in increased engagement and conversion rates.

Building an audience is crucial for successful marketing in the digital landscape where targeting specific groups is essential.

As you come onboard the project, you will learn about our products and services to identify the ideal customer persona, considering demographics, psychographics, and purchasing power.

You will delve into Samsung Advertising Galaxy, engaging with domains like bidding, pacing, performance-based advertising, recommendations, and churn prediction/prevention.

As an MLOps engineer within the Samsung Ads team, you will leverage unique Samsung proprietary data to tackle product challenges and create impactful end-to-end solutions. Collaborating with skilled engineers and top-tier machine learning researchers, you will work on exciting projects and cutting-edge technologies.

Your responsibility will be designing, setting up, and managing infrastructure for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining ML models.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a scalable machine learning infrastructure for high throughput and low latency.
  • Serve ML models to downstream applications, ensuring accessibility, scalability, and security.
  • Manage model versions and ensure the correct version is served to clients, implementing a rollback mechanism if issues arise.
  • Implement monitoring and observability tools to track platform performance, health, and usage. Address issues promptly to maintain stability and responsiveness.
  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain data and model training pipelines.
  • Integrate serving infrastructure with other systems for seamless communication and coordination.
  • Constantly review and optimize the ML serving system for efficiency, reliability, and speed.
  • Stay updated on the latest ML serving technologies and industry trends.
  • Experiment with scalable ML serving architectures tailored to our environment.
  • Enhance A/B testing frameworks and work on model deployment and serving.
  • Technical leadership opportunities based on skills and experience.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience in microservices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, cloud solutions, and orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, ETL, big data tools, and mainstream ML libraries.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or other OOP languages.
  • Experience with real-time monitoring and alerting components.
  • Experience with distributed cache systems like Redis/Aerospike.

Nice to have

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in distributed microservices.
  • Extensive experience in system architecture design for machine learning.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and ML serving technologies.
  • Experience in advertising, recommendation systems, or real-time bidding ecosystem.
